Musical ArtsContact person - Bill Hill, 859-4673 ext. 14There are three different music groups that provide music for liturgical celebrations and other parish functions. Each group is dedicated to prayer, fellowship, music and spiritual formation. Singers and instrumentalists from high school age to adult are welcome to participate. We begin with our choir, which leads the singing twice a month rotating between the 8:45 a.m. and the 11:15 a.m. Masses. The choir ministers from the beginning of September through the end of May. They enjoy the summer months to spend time with family and friends. The Contemporary Ensemble group, which consists of guitar, electric bass, percussion, and mandolin, minister to those assembled on the 2nd Saturday of the month at the 5:30 p.m. Mass and then again on the fourth Sunday of the month rotating between the 8:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Masses. If you like a more upbeat tempo, then this is the group for you. Our Cantor ministry, ministers each Sunday of the month. This is a special ministry in which one becomes the song leader, enabling those assembled to sing Gods praise. One would need to have a musical background so as to read music without hesitation or struggle. Rehearsals: Those who are interested in obtaining further information may contact the Music Director, Bill Hill at the number listed above or email at bhill@francisandclare.org Rosary & Divine Mercy ChapletChairpersons: Carole Shaw and Kathy FaulknerRosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet: Wednesday 11:00 a.m. Our rosary is always prayed before Our Lord's Real Presence in the Tabernacle or during Eucharistic Adoration with the hope of souls developing a deeper love, reverence, and appreciation of Jesus truly present in the Holy Eucharist.
