Parents need to attend a preparation session 1-2 months in advance. Catechist/Co-Catechist/Preschool-Grade 5Contact Person - Patricia McGill, 859-4673 ext. 115Must be a confirmed, practicing Catholic with a positive attitude and willingness to share your faith with the children of the parish. Responsibilities include attendance at catechist meetings, class preparation time, and presence at every class. Classes meet for 70 minutes on Sunday mornings. Requires background check and VIRTUS training. Catechist AssistantContact Person - Patricia McGill, 859-4673 ext. 115Must be a confirmed, practicing Catholic. You must have a positive attitude and a willingness to share your faith with children. As an assistant, you will assist the catechist in the classroom. Requires background check and VIRTUS training. Sunday Morning Volunteer GroupContact Person - Patricia McGill, 859-4673, ext. 115Adult volunteer group who facilitates RE student check-in on Sunday mornings and assists with short-term projects to assist the CRE and catechists during RE. Must be willing to commit one Sunday morning per month, agree to background check, and attend a VIRTUS training session. First Reconciliation & First Communion PreparationContact Person - Patricia McGill, 859-4673, ext. 115This program is designed for our young children in second grade. The goal is to catechetically and spiritually prepare the children to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. Rite of Christian Initiation for ChildrenContact Person: Patricia McGill, 859-4673, .115Children, grades 3-5, who have yet to complete the Sacraments of Baptism, First Eucharist, or First Reconciliation may participate in preparation classes. Dates and times vary depending on need, but generally begin in the Fall. Requires background check and VIRTUS training. Vacation Bible School Volunteer(preschool - 5th grade)Contact Person - Patricia McGill, 859-4673 ext. 115An enrichment for preschool and grade school children held during the summer. Volunteers plan activities and lead groups during the camp experience. VBS is usually held in the evening. Requires background check and VIRTUS training. RE/YM Office VolunteersContact Persons - Patricia McGill, 859-4673 ext. 115 | Gina Hines, 859-4673 ext. 128RE/YM office volunteers will assist the RE/YM staff with general clerical duties such as mailings, copying, filing etc. Youth Ministry - (6th - 12th grade)Contact Person - Gina Hines, 859-4673, ext. 128Youth Ministry programs focus on equipping our middle school (6th-8th grades) and high school (9-12th grades) students with the spiritual habits necessary to develop a lasting faith and more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. YM-Middle School & High School Small Group LeadersMiddle School sessions meet from 10:00-11:10 a.m. on Sunday mornings. High School sesions meet from 10:00-11:10 a.m. on Sunday mornings and at various other times throughout the week determined each Fall by group preference. Requires background check and VIRTUS training. Confirmation PreparationContact Person - Gina Hines, 859-4673, ext. 128Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is open to all teens of the parish who are at least 13 years old AND in the 8th grade through 18 years old and still in high school. The preparation sessions meet on Sunday mornings, 10-11:10 a.m. Service and retreat experiences are also part of the preparation process. Requires background check and VIRTUS training.
