5th Annual Fall Festival
Festival Info
The Saints Francis and Clare Festival will be held on September 23 & 24, 2011. All of Johnson County enjoyed Saints Francis and Clare Festival in 2010! Festival Hours are: Friday, 5pm - midnight and Saturday, 12 noon - midnight. (Please note our regular 5:30 Saturday Anticipation Mass will be celebrated at 4:30 on September 24.) If you would like to be one of our over 600 volunteers, please contact Shelley Kehres, Volunteer Chair at skehres@gmail.com. This year we will offer a full meal on Friday and Saturday evenings (eat-in or take-out). Highlights of this year's festival will be carnival rides, hot grilled foods, Battle of the Bands for teens, live entertainment on Friday and Saturday evening, Beer Garden, Monte Carlo, Bingo, Saturday afternoon Art in the Park, and much, much more. Come visit our newest feature, the Teen Neon Night on Saturday night from 9pm-11pm. Festival AttractionsArt In The ParkThe second annual Art in the Park will be held the afternoon of Saturday, September 24, 2011, from 12pm to dusk. This outdoor, upscale addition to the Fall Festival will feature local artists displaying and selling their masterpieces, Mallow Run Winery offering wine tastings, and live music radiating from the instruments of local musicians. Times are approximate: Ken Wilson & Company - 12:00 to 1:30, Larry Reinwald - 1:30 to 2:15 and 3:30 to 4:00, Greenwood Community Band Concert - 2:15 to 3:30,Southside Jazzers - 4:00 to 6:00. Artists have the opportunity to partake in this event by submitting an application and $25 registration fee to reserve a dedicated space. If you would like to take part in the "Art in the Park" please Download the Registration Form. $12,000 Grand Prize RaffleThe major award raffle provides the opportunity to win the $12,000 Grand Prize. The 2nd Prize is a $1200 travel certificate. Restrictions may apply. Total price is $10 each or 3 for $25. Tickets are available after Mass beginning August 6th and 7th, and of course, tickets will be available at the festival. Tickets will also be available for purchase in the parish office from 9am-12 noon, Monday –Friday. Buy your tickets early and you will be entered into the Early Bird drawing which will begin Aug 13th and 14th for a special prize. The grand prize drawing will be held at approximately 9:00pm on Saturday, September 24, 2011. You need not be present to win, but must be 18 years old to play. Rides, Rides, RidesRides will be available throughout the festival! Ride wristbands may be purchased in advance for a special savings. Wristbands are $15 and may be used on Saturday, September 24th from 12n-3pm. Wristbands will be available for purchase after Mass beginning September 3rd and at the Parish and school offices after Labor Day! Tickets may be purchased from 9am-12n. Fish DinnerJoin us for a great fish dinner in the air-conditioned St. Clare Hall on Friday night! Baked or Fried Fish, french fries, coleslaw, applesauce and a beverage. Hot dogs available as a choice for the kids meal. Prices are $7.00 for adults, $4.00 children 5-10, and 4 and under are free! TO GO Dinners also available! Dinner with the Milano Inn
Join us for a delicious dinner w/ the Milano Inn in the air-conditioned St. Clare Hall. Meals include spaghetti and meat sauce or spaghetti and tomato sauce, salad, beverage, and cookie for dessert. Prices are $7.00 for adults, $4.00 children 5-10, and 4 and under are free!
