Commission Structure
Because of the amount and scope of its
responsibility, and to broaden its activities
and encourage the use of the gifts and talents
of other parishioners, the pastoral council has
adopted the commission structure. Each of these
commission assists the council in planning,
policy development and coordination of
activities within a specific area of the
parish’s ministry. Commissions help the parish
develop and care for the human, physical, and
financial resources that are necessary to carry
out its mission and ministries.
Adult Faith Formation Commission
The purpose of this Commission is to
respond to the catechetical and spiritual needs
of the adult and family communities of our
parish. The commission hopes to achieve this
through planning and implementing faith
formation experiences.

Spiritual Life Commission
The Spiritual Life Commission works in
cooperation with the pastor to oversee the
liturgical and pastoral needs of the parish
community.

Stewardship Commission
The Stewardship Commission oversees the
general operations and maintenance of the
physical facilities of our parish. This
Commission assists in educating the parishioners
of SS. Francis and Clare of the stewardship way
of living, by sharing our time, talent and
treasures both here in the parish and in our
daily lives.

Bread
of Life Outreach Commission
The Bread of Life Outreach Commission is
an umbrella for all parish outreach. We mainly
direct our efforts in helping those in need in
Johnson County and the Center Grove area. The
mission statement of the BOLOM is, SS. Francis
and Clare’s Bread of Life Outreach through the
examples and writings of our patron saints, will
provide the parish members an opportunity to
fulfill their Christian obligation to minister
to the physical, spiritual and emotional needs
of all.

Family Life Commission
The Family Life Commission is responsible
for building community through faith based
social experiences. The committees and
ministries work together to meet the social
needs of our parish community.

Religious Education and Youth
Commission
The RE/YM Commission is responsible for
overseeing the faith and spiritual formation of
the young people in our parish.
Chair: Kim Cochenour
School Commission
The School Commission works in
cooperation and support with the school
principal in their ministry to lead the school
ministry.
